Find your Identity
Taipa is a training method that focuses on reconecting people with their essence, improving overall health through posture and movement flow, encompassing three key pillars:
Balance, Concentration and Energy.
Taipa brings together Martial Art's physicality and discipline, Buddhist know-hows and sports science to allow one to improve spiritual and physical wellness.
Taipa does not exist to mould one into the repetition of a classic model, but rather have one find their unique movement and self through the guidance of Taipa's techniques.
From the basics of proper posture to advanced movement patterns, Taipa aims to physically rehabilitate students from life's everyday physical issues - including hunching over the computer for work, arthritis from old age, lack of movement from a sedentary lifestyle, and more.
Founded by a 3 times Olympic coach in Combat Sports, Taipa's method draws upon a wealth of diverse cultural experiences. Our mission is to provide individuals with exactly what they seek, whether it's personal well-being or excellence in multiple fields performance.

Taipa's roots
Born in France and raised in Central Africa, Philippe Pinerd has dedicated his life to Martial Arts and Combat Sports. From the age of 15 he lived under the mentorship of special forces Korean Masters back from the Vietnam War and went on to continue studying and training reaching national and international results, as well as achieving University Masters in both Sports Education and International Relations.
He traveled to South Korea during 12 years to study directly under famous Buddhist monks aiming at spiritual realization, then later started a professional career training and coaching several olympic teams for 2004, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
Inspired by the traditional martial culture of Korean monks and the physical issues he often experienced with various athletes, he formed Taipa to address a growing need for both spiritual and physical wellness.
